This is where we explain the basics of how we conduct our business

We want to make this as simple as possible, however, I’m sure you understand that once you make a booking some expenses do occur.

‘We’ (sometimes ‘Us’) is the entity and set of relationships described in the About Us pages. This may change from time to time. ‘You’ are the person intending to do business with Us, or already committed to doing business with Us, acting in that business for either yourself or on behalf of another person or a school or similar institution, in which case you are authorised by said persons or institution to act on their behalf with respect to the products and services offered on this website.

We advise you to familiarise yourself with our privacy policy as well, which is printed below.

But, basically, once You decide to do business with Us, You will identify yourself and, using the mechanisms provided on this website, proceed to enter into an agreement in which you make a payment or authorise a payment to be made in exchange for the products or services identified under that transaction. Once that payment is made or authorised, We are under no legal obligation to refund the money unless we do not supply the product or service. But our moral and ethical commitment might be different.

Here are some of the situations that might affect You in your business relationship with Us and how We might attend to them:

Uh-oh, the wheels have fallen off!

Life occasionally takes tricky turns, unexpected and beyond control. In that case, we are sympathetic. If you have to cancel your attendance before 7 (seven) days prior to the event, we will give you all of your money back (or not even raise an invoice if that is your situation).

If it’s less than 7 (seven) days, we’ll keep half of your money (or invoice for half). But if you choose to attend a future program, we will happily pay forward that full contribution.

Damn! Wrong show.

Okay, so you booked the first set of dates and, as it’s turned out, you would rather attend the second — or vice versa. If we have available seats, we’ll happily shift you along. If there’s no available seats, we’ll have a conversation and figure out what to do, how we can help. We might treat it as the wheels have fallen off, or we might arrive at an amicable resolution we can all work with. If it’s feasible, we’re flexible.

Okay, not enough bums on seats.

If we don’t reach a minimum number, we may (note, that’s not definite) not proceed with the dates scheduled. In which case, we’re the ones with the wheels fallen off and you all get your dough back; or we have a conversation about what we might be able to do to help and resolve it that way.

We endeavour to provide the products and services identified on this website in good faith, and undertake, in the best of our ability, to make good or rectify any shortfall in that provision.

Privacy Policy

Welcome to https://bornstorytellers.net (the “Site”). We understand that privacy online is important to users of our Site, especially when conducting business.

This statement governs our privacy policies with respect to those users of the Site (“Visitors”) who visit without transacting business and Visitors who register to transact business on the Site and make use of the various services and products of the Born Storytellers offered by Logorythm (collectively, “Services”) (“Authorised Customers”).

“Personally Identifiable Information”

refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains, including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, financial profiles, social security number, and credit card information. What Personally Identifiable Information is collected?

We may collect basic user profile information from Visitors who choose to register on the site. We collect some or all of the following information from Customers, depending on the nature of the transaction described in terms and conditions above: names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of Authorised Customers and Registrants, the nature and size of classes we may attend, and the address details of schools, including the identity of those responsible for payments.

What organisations are collecting the information?

In addition to our direct collection of information, our third party service vendors (such as credit card companies, clearinghouses and banks) who may provide such services as credit, insurance, and escrow services may collect information from our Visitors and Authorised Customers. We do not control how these third parties use such information, but we do ask them to disclose how they use personal information provided to them from Visitors and Authorised Customers. Some of these third parties may be intermediaries that act solely as links in the distribution chain, and do not store, retain, or use the information given to them.

How does the Site use Personally Identifiable Information?

We use Personally Identifiable Information to customise the Site, to make appropriate service offerings, and to fulfill buying and selling requests on the Site. We may email Visitors and Authorised Customers about research or purchase and selling opportunities on the Site or information related to the subject matter of the Site. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to contact Visitors and Authorised Customers in response to specific inquiries, or to provide requested information.

With whom may the information may be shared?

Personally Identifiable Information about Authorised Customers will not be shared with others. We may use aggregated information about our Visitors, including the demographics of our Visitors and Authorised Customers for the purpose of research into the products and services we offer. We also offer the opportunity to “opt out” of receiving information or being contacted by us.

How is Personally Identifiable Information stored?

Personally Identifiable Information collected by Logorythm at Born Storytellers is securely stored and is not accessible to third parties or employees of Logorythm except for use as indicated above.

What choices are available to Visitors regarding collection, use and distribution of the information?

Are Cookies Used on the Site?

Cookies are used for a variety of reasons. We use Cookies to obtain information about the preferences of our Visitors and the services they select. We also use Cookies for security purposes to protect our Authorized Customers. For example, if an Authorised Customer is logged on and the site is unused for more than 10 minutes, we will automatically log the Authorised Customer off.

How does Logorythm use login information?

Logorythm uses login information, including, but not limited to, IP addresses, ISPs, and browser types, to analyse trends, administer the Site, track a user’s movement and use, and gather broad demographic information.

What partners or service providers have access to Personally Identifiable Information from Visitors and/or Authorised Customers on the Site?

Logorythm enters into and will continue to enter into partnerships, service relationships and other affiliations with a number of vendors in order to fulfil the products and services offered on the site.

Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information to comply with law.

We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information in order to comply with a court order or subpoena or a request from a law enforcement agency to release information. We will also disclose Personally Identifiable Information when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of our Visitors and Authorised Customers.

How does the Site keep Personally Identifiable Information secure?

All of our employees are familiar with our security policy and practices. The Personally Identifiable Information of our Visitors and Authorised Customers is only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees who are given a password in order to gain access to the information. We audit our security systems and processes on a regular basis. Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers are not collected by Logorythm on this site, but are used by independent payment processors who use encryption protocols to protect information sent over the Internet. While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure site, electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering and break-ins, and we cannot guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place and we will not be liable to Visitors or Authorised Customers for any such occurrences.

How can Visitors correct any inaccuracies in Personally Identifiable Information?

Visitors and Authorised Customers may contact us to update Personally Identifiable Information about them or to correct any inaccuracies by emailing us at logo@logorythm.com.au

Can a Visitor delete or deactivate Personally Identifiable Information collected by the Site?

We provide Visitors and Authorised Customers with a mechanism to delete/deactivate Personally Identifiable Information from the Site’s database by contacting logo@logorythm.com.au . However, because of backups and records of deletions, it may be impossible to delete a Visitor’s entry without retaining some residual information. An individual who requests to have Personally Identifiable Information deactivated will have this information functionally deleted, and we will not sell, transfer, or use Personally Identifiable Information relating to that individual in any way moving forward.

What happens if the Privacy Policy Changes?

We will let our Visitors and Authorised Customers know about changes to our privacy policy by posting such changes on the Site. However, if we are changing our privacy policy in a manner that might cause disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information that a Visitor or Authorised Customer has previously requested not be disclosed, we will contact such Visitor or Authorised Customer to allow such Visitor or Authorised Customer to prevent such disclosure.
